The Hinchinbrook Shire Council has erected signs indicating Wallaman Falls Road is unsuitable for trucks, buses, caravans and trailers. For any road access problems, please contact the Hinchinbrook Shire Council (link to www.hinchinbrook.qld.gov.au/).
These numbered multi-use camp sites are part of Baŋggurru camping area, Wallaman Falls, Girringun National Park. Set in open woodland near Stony Creek, there are 10 numbered camp sites in total. Camp site 1 is an accessible camp site (with assistance) for people with disability (PWD) displaying a government issued disability parking permit.
Access to the camping area is by 2WD vehicles and the camp sites are suitable for tent camping beside your car, camper trailers, small caravans and small motorhomes. Please see webpage https://parks.qld.gov.au/parks/girringun-wallaman/camping for more information about the size of each camp site.
Facilities include composting toilets, cold water shower, picnic tables, individual fire ring at each site and a communal fire ring (BYO clean, milled timber). Mobile phone coverage is not available, however, there is a public phone available at the camping area.
