Upper Noosa River camp site 3 is situated within shaded open forest and woodland of melaleuca, allocasuarina, bloodwood and eucalypt species bordering open heathland plains. The site is accessible by canoe, kayak, boat or by the walking track from Harry’s Hut after crossing the river by paddle craft. Facilities include toilets, picnic tables and a jetty, making it suitable for walk-in, canoe and small boat camping. Mobile phone coverage is generally not available. Beyond this point, motorised vessels are not permitted upstream.
Campsite permit holders can park in the Harry’s Hut canoe launch area. Vehicle access permits are not required for Harry’s Hut Road or Cooloola Way, but may be needed for beach or inland track access elsewhere within the Cooloola Recreation Area.
