Carnarvon Gorge camping area

Carnarvon Gorge camping area is a picturesque, semi-secluded camping area under a canopy of gums and Carnarvon fan palms. The camping area can be reached by 2WD and 4WD vehicles and trailers. The camping area surface is grass with defined, numbered campsites. Facilities include flushing toilets, wheelchair accessible picnic tables and free gas barbecues. There are no shower facilities available. Mobile phone coverage is limited. All water must be treated before drinking. Open fires are not permitted.
You can camp in the Carnarvon Gorge camping area only during the Queensland Easter, Winter and Spring school holidays. At all other times of the year this area is closed to camping.
