Central Station camping area is located inland from Eurong. The camping area features a large, formal, fenced camping area, set in rainforest with access to a variety of walks and information displays; with a 9pm noise curfew in place. The camping area is accessible by high clearance 4WD, off-road camper trailers or walk-in. There are a number of individual tent and trailer sites. Facilities include water taps (treat water before drinking), $2 coin-operated hot showers, flushing toilets, picnic tables, wheelchair access and washing-up facilities. The nearby day-use area has a public phone and access to short walks. Rubbish bins are provided at the camping area entrance. Mobile phone coverage is generally not available.

Wongari (dingo): It is an offence to feed or make food available to a wongari (dingo) or intentionally attract or disturb a wongari (dingo) anywhere on K’gari (Fraser Island), whether on public or private land. Penalties apply. It is recommended that families with children camp in areas with wongari (dingo) deterrent fencing.
