About the Centre
Nestled within the serene Daisy Hill Conservation Park, the Daisy Hill Koala Centre is a must-visit destination for koala lovers!
Built by the Queensland Government as a dedicated koala education facility, the centre has been welcoming visitors since 1995.
Discover Queensland’s koala conservation efforts in action and get up close to these iconic marsupials. Learn how we can all play a part in protecting Australia’s favourite marsupial while enjoying the tranquil bushland setting.

Entry into Daisy Hill Koala Centre is free
Only groups of 10+ people require a booking
Important:
Please split your group to support the wellbeing of our koalas. No more than 50 people are to be inside Daisy Hill Koala Centre at one time. Thank you for keeping noise to a minimum.
Groups of 40 or more people are required to apply for an 'Organised Events Notification' with the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. In additional information, please type the following 'Organised Event Notification – school group' (this will give you an exemption for the $36 application fee).
If your activity is commercial in nature (a business or fund-raising activity, for example) You will require a commercial activity permit commercial activity permit
During your visit, please
- Keep noise to a minimum for the wellbeing of our koalas
- Take your rubbish home with you
- Keep to constructed tracks in the conservation area
- Do not feed native animals
The Daisy Hill Conservation Park
The conservation park protects significant habitats for koalas and other wildlife while providing visitors with a variety of recreational activities to enjoy. The picnic area is set in an open grassy forest and is accessible via a sealed ring road or the centre. There are picnic tables, wood and electric barbecues, toilets, shelter sheds, nature play activities and access to the popular Paperbark Trail. 7 am - 6:30, 15 October - 14 March (summer)
7am - 5.30pm, 15 March - 14 October (winter)
Location
Daisy Hill Koala Centre is located at Carpark 1 (P1) within Daisy Hill Conservation Park at 253 Daisy Hill Road, Daisy Hill QLD 4127.
Parking
There is parking for cars and buses. To access the bus parking area, please follow the one-way ring road past the Koala Centre until you reach a gravel clearing on the left-hand side of the road.
If you need to amend or cancel your booking
Please contact the Daisy Hill Koala Centre at least 24 hours before your booking time. We will do our best to accommodate your requirements, however we may have to move your booking to another day depending on availability.
Accessibility
Daisy Hill Koala Centre is suitable for wheelchairs, prams and for those who find walking difficult. We have a wheelchair on site should you require support during your visit. Pathways are a combination of concrete, and elevated timber boardwalks. Wheelchair accessible toilets are located in the Koala Centre. There are accessible parking spaces available in the car park.
If you require a certified assistance dog on your visit, please contact us directly to ensure we can provide the best possible experience for you and our koalas.

Directions
To get to the Daisy Hill Koala Centre from Brisbane City, head south on the Pacific Motorway (M3). Take Exit 24 towards Loganlea Road, Daisy Hill. Follow the signs to Daisy Hill Conservation Park.
The Daisy Hill Koala Centre is located within the park, and free parking is available on-site. The drive usually takes around 25–30 minutes, depending on traffic.
