Camp in the heart of Blackbraes National Park at Emu Swamp camping area. Set around the southern edge of a large swamp, the camping area is a fantastic location for viewing wildlife.
The camping area is located 25km from the national park entrance, via an unsealed (dirt) road. Access is suitable for 4WD vehicles only. Refer to Blackbraes National Park map. IMPORTANT: After heavy rain, the unsealed access road becomes boggy and is inaccessible.
Emu Swamp camping area is a wide-open space with no separately defined sites. Shade is very limited. Camping is suitable for tent/roof-top tents or off-road camper trailers.
There are no facilities. Visitor’s must be totally self-sufficient and well equipped for remote bush camping. Camp fires are permitted in fire rings only. Bring your own clean milled firewood.
