Kalpowar camping area (Gladstone)

Kalpowar camping area features a tranquil bush setting beside Crane Creek. The open grassy camp sites are suitable for families and large groups. The camping area can be reached by 4WD, and in dry weather conditions only by 2WD vehicles including vehicles towing camper trailers and caravans; campervans; and motorhomes. The road crosses three gullies that need to be approached and crossed slowly, particularly in a 2WD vehicle and when towing. The camping area is suitable for tent camping beside your car; camper trailers; campervans; caravans; (small) motorhomes; and large groups. Facilities include tank water which must be treated before drinking, pit toilets, picnic tables and communal fire rings. Generators that operate at a noise level less than 65dB(A) at 7m are permitted. Mobile phone coverage is not available.
