Kauri Creek camping area is located on the edge of an inlet that is well suited to swimming or exploration by canoe. Take the 600m easy walk along the Link track through the forest to the Kauri Creek day-use area.

The camping area can be reached by 2WD vehicle or boat and is suitable for tent camping beside your car, camper trailers and large groups. Facilities include flushing toilets, shower room (bring own shower) and individual fire rings. Mobile phone coverage is generally available.

Most of Danbulla Road is unsealed but it is accessible to all vehicles. The Tablelands Regional Council has erected signs indicating this road is unsuitable for caravans. For any road access problems, please contact the Tablelands Regional Council.
