Log Dump camping area features creek side camping on the banks of Kauri Creek. This is the only camping area in Tuan State Forest with a toilet. Access roads can be severely corrugated, and weather conditions can affect access for 2WD vehicles. Access by 4WD vehicles or boat is recommended. Boat ramp facilities are available.
The camping area is suitable for tent camping beside your car, small high-clearance caravans, campervans, camper trailers and small motorhomes. The camping area has hybrid (flushing) toilets. Campfires are permitted in the provided fire-rings only. Must BYO firewood as it is not permitted to collect any bush timber from on-site. This camping site is a popular fishing spot. NOTE: Upstream from the camping area is a Marine National Park Zone (Green zone) where no fishing is allowed. The zoned area is signed.
BE AWARE OF MARINE PARK GO SLOW AREAS where all vessels must travel off the plane and at a speed less than 6 knots to reduce risk of boat strike on threatened species and shoreline erosion.
