Mon Repos Turtle Centre - School Group Bookings
Details
Mon Repos is special! It supports the largest concentration of nesting marine turtles on the eastern Australian mainland and has the most significant loggerhead turtle nesting population in the South Pacific region. The success of nesting and hatching turtles at Mon Repos is critical for the survival of the endangered loggerhead turtle.
School groups are invited to explore the fascinating world of marine turtles at Mon Repos Conservation Park. Through engaging, hands-on programs, students from early learning centers to high school can discover the vital conservation and research efforts that protect these remarkable creatures. In addition to marine turtle biology and conservation, programs can cover a wide range of topics including local ecosystems, geology, and environmental processes. Participants will also learn about the roles and responsibilities of park rangers and the importance of preserving natural habitats. All programs can be tailored to meet the specific needs of teachers and curriculum goals, providing a rich, interactive learning experience for every age group. Dive into marine conservation and more with Mon Repos and inspire the next generation of environmental stewards!
