Pelican Island is a rarely visited, rugged island covered in grassland and low vine thickets. Camping is on the western-facing shingle beach where fishing and beachcombing can be enjoyed. The camping area can be reached by boat only and is suitable for tent camping. There are no facilities, however, mobile phone coverage is generally reliable. Fires: Prohibited (open and closed). Gas or liquid fuelled stoves for cooking purposes are permitted. VHF marine radios and satellite phones are recommended.
