Individual camping areas on Hinchinbrook Island are for boat-based camping and do not entitle people to hike the Thorsborne Trail. For Thorsborne Trail permits please visit Thorsborne Trail bookings.
The Haven (Scraggy Point) is a sheltered camping area with beach access. Please remain behind the temporary crocodile barriers at all times. The camping area can be reached by boat but is tide-dependent. It is not available to Thorsborne Trail walkers. Camping is suitable for tent camping and large groups. Facilities include a toilet, gas barbecue and picnic tables. Mobile phone coverage is poor.
