Upper Noosa River camp site 2 is located among shaded open forest and woodland consisting of melaleuca, allocasuarina, bloodwood and eucalypt species adjacent to expansive heathland plains. The site can be reached by canoe, kayak, boat or by walking track access from Harry’s Hut after paddling across the river. A canoe landing area and toilet facilities are provided. The sandy camping surface is suited to walk-in and paddle-access camping. Mobile phone coverage is generally not available.
Campsite permit holders can park at the Harry’s Hut canoe launch area. Vehicle access permits are not required for Harry’s Hut Road or Cooloola Way, but may be required if travelling on beaches or other inland tracks within the Cooloola Recreation Area.
