Waddy Point beachfront camping area faces north, under casuarina trees, on the beachfront of Waddy Point. The camping area is located on the north-east coast of K’gari, approximately 100km north of Hook Point barge landing area. The camping area can be accessed by high clearance 4WD vehicles. Facilities include water taps (treat water before drinking), flushing toilets and communal fire rings. Rubbish and recycling bins available at QPWS waste transfer station at the southern entrance to Orchid Beach. Mobile phone coverage: generally not available—public phone at the Orchid Beach store.

Wongari (dingo): It is an offence to feed or make food available to a wongari (dingo) or intentionally attract or disturb a wongari (dingo) anywhere on K’gari (Fraser Island), whether on public or private land. Penalties apply. It is recommended that families with children camp in areas with wongari (dingo) deterrent fencing.
